University of Baguio’s Center for Counseling and Student Development team holds its first hybrid job fair to help the university’s graduating students and alumni get a jump-start on their career.
UB has always had a job fair for its alumni and graduating students every year but this would be the first time that the event was held both as a face-to-face and online event.
All attendees got to either come to the university’s gym and take a good look at some of the participating companies or join the online Zoom livestream and take a gander through their online recruiters.
Before the job fair officially opened, participants got to hear Ms. Romelda Frances Escano, Labor and Employment Officer III for PESO Baguio, give them tips on job hunting, the interview process, how to speak during interviews, dressing the part, and how to present yourself in order to be hired.
The hybrid job fair was held on May 13, 2022 at the University of Baguio gym from 8:00 am – 4:00 pm. The job fair opened with the theme “Collars and Ties: Suiting Up for the Corporate World”.
Those who physically came to the event got the chance to submit their initial requirements and have their first interview at the gym. Those who opted to join the online event got invitations for a scheduled one on one zoom call for their initial interview.
