University of Baguio especially its School of Nursing, has a significant impact in preparing me to be a critical care nurse. I have learned the most important nursing skills from the best Instructors, and the best part of my college years was the exposure I had along the way. In nursing, exposure in hospital set up is the most important weapon that will back you up once you graduate from college.
As a critical care nurse, you must possess advanced nursing skills such as knowing the different cardiac rhythms, drug administration of high alert drugs and expert knowledge of specialized electronic equipment used in monitoring critically ill patients which was thought me during college years.
The knowledge and skills I gained during my college years are invaluable and something I would remember throughout my career. I am sure that University of Baguio – School of Nursing will continue to live up to its sterling reputation in producing competent nurses worldwide.
