I felt so excited as I entered the challenging world of the nursing profession. I found myself alone in a different environment with the many new and unfamiliar equipment that surrounded me. I realized that I had to engage myself in my nursing job, at the same time recognizing that I am, and that I must be globally competent despite the many responsibilities at hand. As a new nurse, I encountered challenges in adapting to the demands of an ideal and tedious nursing care management. I however never doubted myself, not even a bit because my Alma Mater has prepared me well for these challenges and encounters. My Alma Mater has instilled in me the values essential to the practice of my profession. My academic preparations and exposures led me to embrace with pride, courage and confidence the opportunities laid before me. I am a UBian
