Why I chose University of Baguio
UB served as the backbone for my knowledge and skills regarding the I.T. field. As a fresh graduate way back 2006, I did not have a streamlined plan on what career I will be having. But with the exposure on the activities and learnings I had with the university, it help me secure my first job to date in the BPO Industry (Sitel Corporation).
I started as a Technical Support agent. With my in depth understanding of technical issues and resolutions, this leveraged my performance enabling me to move up the ranks and got promoted to a Coach/Team Lead, to an Operations Manager, to a Project Manager and now as a Global Program Manager.
Current responsibilities are overseeing the fulfillment of the organization’s goals, manage effectively multiple projects through program strategies, delegation and implementation and ensure that both the company and our clients maintain a great partnership resulting to business growth.
Being consistent as part of the Rewards and Recognitions on the roles I had, traveling to other places to perform my tasks and celebrating my 16 years of tenure with the company (and counting) are a few of my accomplishments. My main and greatest accomplishment is on how I was able to help, influence, and improve the career of the people I have worked with.
My success in the company that I can attribute to the university is my strong level of competence, the right attitude in dealing with situations, being purpose driven and a positive mindset regardless of the complexity and diversity of given tasks.
