Ms. Maria Luz B. Nieveras is a proud alumni of the University of Baguio. She started out her educational journey with the University of Baguio Laboratory Elementary School, graduating in 2012. She was named the Class Salutatorian, and she was also conferred a Loyalty Award and the Journalist of the Year award.
Continuing her academic career, she then enrolled at the University of Baguio Science High School. During her senior high school years, she studied under the Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) strand with a specialization in Engineering. She graduated in 2018 with honors.
For her tertiary education, she decided to pursue a Bachelor of Science in Architecture at the UB School of Engineering and Architecture (SEA). During her studies, she became an active member of the United Architects of the Philippines Student Auxiliary (UAPSA) – UB Chapter. She first served as the Chapter Commissioner on Congress, then as the Chapter Vice President for Programs and Development, before she finished her term as the Chapter President. Ms. Nieveras officially finished her bachelor’s degree in 2024 and graduated as a Notable Leadership Awardee and a Loyalty Awardee.
Currently, she is working as an Architectural Apprentice at RCPiluden Verticals Architectural Network, where she is tasked with developing architectural designs through drawings and 3D models using Computer-Aided Design (CAD) software. She also spends time conducting site visits and coordinating with consultants and clients to ensure an organized and streamlined project documentation process.
Her journey is one of determination and perseverance, showing how far one can go with passion, purpose, and an unwavering commitment to personal and professional growth. Her achievements not only reflect her own dedication but also the values instilled in her by the university.
