University of Baguio Honors Patrolman Randall Bantasan Tupac, Batch 2018, for Representing the Philippines in the UAE SWAT Challenge 2026

The University of Baguio (UB) proudly celebrates Patrolman Randall Bantasan Tupac, an esteemed alumnus of the Bachelor of Forensic Science Program, Batch 2018, for his remarkable achievements on the global stage. As a vital member of the elite Philippine National Police–Special Action Force (PNP-SAF) team, Patrolman Tupac represented the Philippines in the prestigious UAE SWAT Challenge 2026 held in Dubai.

The competition took place at the Al Ruwayyah Training City and brought together more than 100 elite tactical teams from across the globe. Throughout the event, Patrolman Tupac and the SAF team showcased Filipino resilience and tactical excellence in demanding high-stakes events, including the Tactical Challenge, Officer Rescue, and the High Tower. Their collective efforts and high-level performance earned them an impressive 14th place overall finish among an exceptionally competitive international field.

In a personal testimony reflecting on his journey, Patrolman Tupac identified his participation in the UAE SWAT Challenge as his greatest professional and personal accomplishment to date. He credited his alma mater for providing the foundational strength necessary to reach such heights, stating:

“I learned the value of discipline and grit at the University of Baguio. These qualities helped me succeed in my previous trainings and at my current employment; I will undoubtedly apply them in my future endeavors. My commitment to continuously improving my current situation was motivated by the lessons I gained at UB, which ultimately brought me to this point.”

Furthermore, Patrolman Tupac shared a heartfelt message of faith and perseverance with the University of Baguio community. He urged students and fellow alumni to maintain steadfast faith, testifying that:

“Always Trust God. His timing is always perfect—not too late and not too early. His intentions for your prosperity are always for your own good. Lean on Him instead of your own understanding while you wait for employment prospects or career breakthroughs.”
