Pushing boundaries: The tech and creative journey of Kurt Renzo Acosta

Mr. Kurt Renzo Acosta is a proud alumnus of the University of Baguio School of Information Technology (SIT) Class of 2017. 

He began his professional journey as a mobile developer, working with startups to create accessible, efficient, and high-performing applications tailored to the unique needs of growing businesses. With every role he took on, Mr. Acosta continued to grow his expertise—eventually leading engineering teams and contributing to a variety of tech products across different platforms and markets.

Today, he holds the position of Senior Software Engineer at Zoomo, a globally recognized company specializing in light electric vehicles (LEVs). There, he continues to innovate and contribute to sustainable mobility solutions through cutting-edge technology.

Beyond the tech space, Mr. Acosta is also an accomplished musician. He regularly performs with bands and artists such as intensions, Uncle Bob’s Funky Seven Club, Vanessa Mendoza, and Shanne Dandan, showing that creativity and logic can coexist in one brilliant mind.

His journey is a testament to the versatile talent nurtured at UB—where passion, skill, and commitment go hand-in-hand. He serves as an inspiration to all aspiring UBians who aim to leave a meaningful mark in both their professional and personal pursuits.
